"HOW TO RELATE WISELY WITH OTHERS"

someone said: shared joy is double joy and shared sorrow is half the sorrow.. :>

relationships are treasures. When you talk to someone, you actually plant a seed in that person's life. What kind of seed are you planting in the hearts of people? is it confidence? peace? love? we simply reap what we sow in relationships.. when we sow love, we reap love, same with trust and many more. the question is, HOW CAN WE PLANT PEACE?
answer: YOU ONLY NEED WISDOM! we need to learn how to be wise in the way we treat other people. Education is different from wisdom. no matter how rich and educated you are, if your relationships are falling apart, you will always be miserable. WISDOM is a LIFESTYLE. WISDOM is CHARACTER. It creates HUMILITY. KNOWLEDGE causes PRIDE.

(read James 3:14-16)

Lack of wisdom causes problems. LOTS AND LOTS OF PROBLEMS.

James 3:17
--But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all PURE; then PEACE-LOVING, CONSIDERATE, SUBMISSIVE, FULL OF MERCY AND GOOD FRUIT, IMPARTIAL AND SINCERE.

CHARACTERISTICS OF A WISE PERSON

1. A wise person will not compromise his integrity
"But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all PURE". Trust is very fragile. Be trustworthy! Proverbs 10:9 says, "the man of integrity walks securely, but he who takes crooked path will be found out".. Preserve your integrity whether someone is watching or not. :)

2. A wise person will not antagonize the anger of others
Proverbs 20:3 -- It is to a man's honor to avoid strife, but every fool is quick to quarrel.

Avoid the following to avoid arguments:

• avoid comparing
• avoid condemning
• avoid contradicting

There are things that we can change, and some we cant, so for the things that we cant, it is best to accept them...^^

3. A wise person will not minimize the feelings of others
Be considerate! try to put your feet in people's shoes so you may be able to understand them! just try to listen to them and never judge, JUST ENCOURAGE THEM. :)
Proverbs 15:4 says, The tongue that brings healing is the tree of life, but a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit.

4. A wise person does not criticize the decisions or suggestions of others
--A wise person learns from everybody. Only God knows everything..^^
A close-minded person is not wise. If you are wise, you will be open to reasons.

5. A wise person will not emphasize the mistakes of others!
we should not stigmatize people. We must forgive, forget and move one! We should give people the chance to recover from sin. There is no sense in condemning one another. Condemning a person will never change him, but LOVE CHANGES EVERYTHING!

6. A wise person will not disguise his/her weakness
Everybody has their own weakness, and also failures. If you are smart, you are not a phony. God loves you for who you are and you should love one another for who they are.

At the end of the day, what matters most is relationship.. Nothing else. just remember,
YOU ARE WISE!

♥ fireflies' love story

haaaaaaaaaaa.... fireflies....^^ We have like billions of them on the island. I really love watching them specially when i'm at the beach and i see them flying all over the "talisay tree". They almost look like shooting stars. :>

i've watched a korean movie before and some girl there said that when fireflies find their true love, they feel like they're ready to die with the one they love, aint that sweet?^^ (one of the reasons why i love fireflies...^^)

Also, i have another story about fireflies. HAHAHA. One day when i was on the island. It was December 2009, i promised cub (my boyfriend) that when i get home to Iloilo i will give him some fireflies. So one night, i hunted (hunted?! hahahahahaha) for some fireflies and caught 4. I put them inside a bottle and i was very excited to give that bottle to cub. After like hours and hours of watching them, it was already 11:00pm, i felt veeeeeeeeeeeery guilty because i remembered that "fireflies' true love story" and realized: "oh my, i should give them the chance to find their one true love :c" so i just had to set them free..... :">

♥ hersheyyyyyyyyyy

everytime i remember hershey i really cant help but smile.. :> Hershey, by the way is a cat. She's not some ordinary cat that you just see everywhere, in a way she's kinda strange. Her left eye is green and right blue. aint that rad? aaaah, hershey.. you can never ever touch her, or even come near her. She's like a hermit crab --- so hard to catch and see it's real appearance or what's really inside that tiny lil' cat, hiding in some sort of coconut tree, only a lot bigger and has no coconut shells. whatever. hahaha. hershey's a wild cat. (she lives in the hills.) Everytime we're eating, she comes near the kitchen, hiding and peeping and waiting for some blessings. HAHAHA. luckily i managed to get a picture of her from a distance. Thanks to the power of zooming. nyahihahiha. I l o v e y o u h e r s h e y. :>

♥ Locket

so i bought a vintage looking locket last week..^^ I think it's really really cute. I am soo into vintage pieces. specially real vintage stuff, not just vintage looking stuff. you know what I mean. but well, i can never find a real vintage locket so i settled to a vintage looking one then maybe someday, when i get really old, it's gonna be a real vintage piece and i will give it to my favorite grand daughter.. HAHAHAHA. :> so anyways i placed mine and cub's picture in that cutie locket that I bought and i bring it with me everyday.. I look at it almost every second then i imagine myself showing the locket to my grandchildren and could imagine them saying "wooow, you and lolo looked great during your days!". . HAHAHA. what the..

♥ tay noyong's princessa tarhata

i know right? princessa tarhata kinda sounds lame but i dont care! HAHAHA. My grandfather calls me that since God knows when, so i'm kinda used to being called that when on the island, my home sweet home. oh and by the way princessa tarhata means FIGHTER PRINCESS. :> now the island, its the best place in the world! Its the place where the grass is as green as emerald, the sea as clear as crystal and you know, it's just bayuuuuuuuuutiful there! :> i grew up on that island so i knooooow. :D

PLUM

*he calls me plum (this is according to him) because first of all, plum is my favorite color. He finds me extremely desirable and sweet like a raisin, a cake, a pudding, everything sweet. :P plus, the color of my hair is also plum. HAHAHAHA.

CUB

a young/baby of a certain animal, like a lion

*actually i used to call him LION CUB but i thought it was really long so i settled to just calling him cub instead of lion cub. hihihi.^^ i first called him that when i realized that he was not the same person that he was before he met me. He used to be a really wild guy (like a lion) who's very hard to make friends with (or to tame. hahahaha), and yeah and he used to be a heart-breaker. but that changed when he met me and i introduced him to Jesus.. he transformed from a wild lion into a cute little cub....^^ awww...

i like the fact that we dont call each other babe, bhe, langga, pangga, mahal, sweety, honey, sugar, tart, asawa, bana, hubby, wifey etc. i just love it that you call me PLUM and i call you CUB.. not because it's only us who call each other that, but because of the reasons behind it.. haaa...

tattoos, hmm.. well for me it's just another form of art. Only, it's permanent and it's painful. I dont believe that if someone has tattoos he/she is already a bad person. I don't judge people by whats on their skin. God loves everyone no matter how they look.

so i made this video for my boyfriend whom i really really love..^^ we've been together for 1 year and 6 months now and nuthin's changed.. :> we're still super inlove and we never ever get tired of each other. seeing him everyday at school is just the beeeeeeeeeeest.. i love the feeling of walking from the other side of the road towards the gate knowing that he is there waiting for me, ready to accompany me to my room, then whispers "i love you forever baby" then leaves..^^ (that's just the icing on the top of the cake i tell ya). then after class he waits for me outside, then accompanies me home and why? because he just wants me safe everyday! :D
man it feels great to be loved by him and be taken care of, not even a little mosquitoe can come near to hurt me plus, he's just the sweetest. he's the best boyfriend ever that's why i made him this video. I actually made this 5 or 6 months ago. :>

♥ i L-O-V-E going to church every sunday!

Don't you just love waking up for church?
I do i do i do!
I love the feeling of just waking up and preparing to look your best because it's He who deserves it!
another thing i love about going to church is you can worship God freely, in your own way may it be dancing or singing and no one will ever look at you and think "ugh. look at her, she just looks crazy!". you know what im talkin about.. :D
haaaaaa... so today, i went to church with mum, my sister and boyfriend. teehee.
as the preacher preached, i wrote almost everything that he said so I can read it again and again and never ever forget what he had said because it's just so useful and all that! :)

How we live reflects on how people think about our God. how do you live your life? If people see you as a kind person, forgiving, non-condemning, loving and patient, they will also think that our God is like that! In whatever that you do, do it for the glory of God.

We represent God to the world, and because we were made to Glorify God, we must glorify him in every single thing that we do! We can glorify him:

• Even in ordinary things - when you ride on a jeepney, glorify him! help the older ones, be courteous, and smiling! show everyone that Jesus is in your heart.
  

• In our homes -be kind to your family, show them that you love them and that you care for them. Encourage them! pray for them! :)

• Outside the church - dont just praise and worship him when you are at church, praise and worship him even when you are at the malls, schools, offices etc.
• In your relationships - bring your boyfriend/girlfriend to church. dont hide him/her to God and church members! Make sure what you do with another will glorify God and show everyone what kind of God you worship.

• not only on sunday - Glorify him from monday to sunday!

• in your conversations - how you talk to the church members is also how you talk with other people outside the church.
  

• in non-religious contexts - when you're at birthday parties, or any kind of non-religious events, glorify God! don't conform!

Tips to self: BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING, MAKE SURE THAT IT IS GOD-GLORIFYING. LET THE SPIRIT OF GOD WORK IN YOUR HEART. GOD IS IN YOUR HEART WHEREVER YOU ARE! :)

bebe cub arrived at my house 5:00 in the morning, greeted me and we ate some pancakes, and drank some coffee... courtesy of mom. :)

then he came back from school with some flowers and a gift! i was really surprised because when he came to my house that morning he didnt bring me anything :[ but when he came back from school with flowers and a gift, i felt extremely happy! :D

♥ the story of JINTOTOLO island :)

so I came up with this idea to write about our island, JINTOTOLO ISLAND. Im not really the type who writes a lot but i think it's about time someone wrote the story of Jintotolo Island and share it to everyone. so here I am now, writing my first ever blog. HAHAHA. I hope this will not be a sucky one. HAHA

I know everybody thinks Boracay is the best island in the Philippines. well, I think it's not. It's just so overrated! i mean, most of the people that have said that, are actually the type of people who only go there to party, wear their swimsuits and show off their bodies and not really to enjoy nature! well, except for some. so anyways.. enough about that. let's get down to the nitty gritty... HAHA. >:)

wonder why I call it "OUR ISLAND"? well.. here's the story.. :)

Long time ago, in Bantayan (it's an island near Cebu) lived my great grand lolo Vidal Bacolod. He was a very industrious guy with many many dreams. He was the type'a guy who loved to travel to places he had never seen before and so he went traveling with no certain direction and surprisingly reached an island. As he roamed around the island, he found it very peaceful, green and uhh. Im not really good with words but i think the most suitable word would be, uhh, ???? oh whatever! haha! i think you get the point. he thought he would maybe come back to the island with his family and settle there for good. Just when he had thought of that, he saw some spaniards building a lighthouse on a hill. When they saw him, they immediately came to him and drove him away.

but hey, that's not the end of the story! My clever lolo went to the city hall in the main land of Masbate and inquired if he could settle there with his family and asked who the owner of that island was. They told him it didn't have an owner and he could own it if he would pay the tax of the island. Then he agreed so they gave him the papers that testify that he already owned the whole Jintotolo Island. He returned on the island with his whole family. He showed the papers to the spaniards and became friends with them. Many people from different places also came to the island and asked my lolo if they could also settle there, and my super kind lolo said yes to everyone. They built schools, churches, cemeteries etc. then they all worked hard in making the island healthier and healthier. :)

at the age of 120 sumthin, my great grand father passed away, and so did my great grand mother, Silveria Bacolod, but their life story will never ever be forgotten. Everyone on the island still remember how kind they were to the people. Before he passed away he divided his land to his children including my grand father HONORIO BACOLOD, who's the only one left now because all his brothers and sisters already passed away because of old age.. (he's the youngest) He is the sweetest grand father ever! He calls me PRINCESSA TARHATA since i was 3 years old and he hugs me a lot. He's 91 years old now and still healthy! He loves to tell me his life story, his and my grand mom's love story, the death march, etc! He's just the best! :) I love my Family.. I feel very blessed to have this kind of family. we are not rich in material stuff but WE ARE BILLIONAIRES IN LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE. ♥
